The Unity album

A wonderful example of what ‘church’ should be about.

People from across the Body of Christ uniting in the Spirit to honour the Father and glorify His name in melody and words.

Of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.

What a great adventure in Jesus we had and many Christian connections were made that produced other fruit and even today the harvest continues.

The album consists of original songs, (other than Amazing Grace), sung by the writers, who generously gave of their very precious gifts.

Everyone on the album lived in Carlisle or near bye at the time of recording except for Helen Bainbridge, Linda Steel and Mary and John Hatt who went the extra mile to get here from Appleby, Dumfries and Maryport.

Thanks to Ian Howe who collated the original masters and recorded some of the artists.

Thanks to Dave McDonald who designed the cover graphics.

Thanks to those involved in producing the tapes and cases - and thankfully we just about covered costs.

Thanks to the person I used to be, for producing it - all these years later the Spirit moves me through the words and the melodies. I never included any of my own songs, to avoid my own motives being put in the mixer - I was older then, I’m younger then that now (Dylan) - what God gives us, is for sharing!

PS - All of you who made ‘Unity’ possible have taken your gifts to where the Lord has led you. If you are reading this, please get it touch to say hello - cheers, Les.
