Christians are involved in every aspect of charitable giving individually and within non Christian organisations and their contribution to the stability and fairness of our society is beyond calculation. God help us all in the years ahead as Christianity declines in our nation due to the social and multi-cultural engineering and the anti Christian legislation by the spirits of the anti-Christ in the national and European governments.

Niscu

A Christian charity directly involved in more than 200 schools in NW England introducing children to a knowledge of the Lord Jesus. There are two Niscu schools workers in Carlisle.

Operation Mobilisation

Their world wide communications office is in Kingstown, Carlisle. Over 5,400 people working in 110 countries are serving with Operation Mobilisation to bring a message of hope to the people of the world, proclaiming the love of God through literature, the creative arts, friendship, Bible studies, videos and cassette tapes, correspondence courses, relief and development work, and much, much more…

Christian cafe

Oasis Coffee Shop at Elim Community Church, (St Paul’s), Lonsdale Street. Tuesday to Friday 10.30am - 1.45pm. Serving the local community by offering meals and light refreshments at a reasonable price. Tel: 0781 354 3281. This is a valuable social ministry which also gives free meals and hot drinks to those in need, as well as providing the catering for a number of local charities, serving the elderly, those with learning difficulties, as well as those suffering from mental illness.
