The journey began on 2nd October AD 2008.

The Carlisle Messenger aspires to be a bit like the ‘Good News paper’ but with a local content that also relates Carlisle’s political and social life to the Word of God. The editor believes that it is not possible to love some one and allow them to go to hell.

The ‘Message’ is free and it will be circulated to every letter box, one step of faith at a time, as we do the God plod around the City of Carlisle. The first humble copy of 1,000 went out in October along side 1,000 copies of the Good News. The editor was unable to put out a December improvement, due to a lack of resources (mostly time), but delivered 1,500 Good News papers instead.

A January improvement of the Carlisle Messenger will be out by the end of the month. When,or if we ever cover the city, we will start all over again with a new issue. Hallelujah!!

Anyone can join us in any aspect of this vision for evangelism. The churches in the location of our delivery will be promoted. We will also always especially promote some churches that we feel are best equipped to receive and care for a lost soul.

We have no prejudice as regards theology. All we want is to help people to have a better life now and then go to Heaven and have an eternal life.

Advertisers are included in the Bound Together magazine (4 issues a year), The Carlisle Messenger (to be circulated across the city), the Bound Together and Carlisle Churches web sites and they are also included in a flyer in the Good News paper deliveries. Advertisers provide us with £40, or £20 per year.

+ Pray for our continued provision. It is presently funded by the Bound Together magazine subscribers and advertisers. We need advertising, or benefactors, or partners.
