Holy Spirit or religion?
Some people might argue that Pentecost was the birth of the Christian religion.
A religion that changed the world and was adopted in the United Kingdom and that shaped our laws and lifestyles and expectations.
The establishment used it to control the masses, but the truth of Jesus was always there beyond their manipulation and many of the masses made sure the truth of Jesus was sincerely propagated throughout the generations, to us today.
But what went wrong in the United Kingdom where the Christian religion was once the cornerstone of the democratic process and legislation?
How could Christian leaders allow the Christian religion to be relegated from its
position of pre-
Is it because the Christian leaders abandoned the guidance of the Holy Spirit in favour of their own intellect? Is it because they lacked the Spiritual discernment and faith to confront the evil in our society and they lacked the courage to speak the truth?
Where has compromise and submission to the authorities of this dark age, led the Christian religion in the United Kingdom?
Why have so many Christians hid behind the social gospel that buffers them from the persecution that comes with speaking the truth about sin, forgiveness and mercy?
The social gospel that fails to give God the glory for the social gospel, has failed to consummate the relationship between God and man.
When the Holy Spirit came upon the people at Pentecost it was love.
Love is the answer. Jesus showed us how to die to self and to love our enemy. He was prepared to die for the truth that He came to earth to demonstrate. The truth that there is sin, but there is also forgiveness and mercy and an eternity.
Many Christians however, have chosen to place their faith in religion and ceremony and ritual and man made institutions and good works, rather than speak the truth about sin and forgiveness and eternity.
Such works pay lip service to Pentecost -
