Of course the following explanation will mean nothing to anyone who needs someone to hate, despise, or persecute, nevertheless, the truth of this sad situation should be expressed.

The Christians who were opposed to the use of occult items in Carlisle’s Millennium Project did NOT say that Carlisle United were cursed.

However, there is a spirit in Carlisle that wants to raise up the occult and some people have been influenced by such a spirit to falsify the truth and persecute the Christians who cared enough about their city, to face public ridicule and abuse, in order to bring the following truth.

Carlisle has suffered extraordinary calamitous coincidences since it was prophesied that using occult items in Carlisle’s Millennium Project would put the city at risk.

A baby had his throat cut by his own father whilst with his mother in the city centre.

A great flood left the city without electricity (light turned to darkness) and thousands of people were made homeless and businesses were ruined.

A Foot and Mouth plague spread form Carlisle’s cattle mart across England and Cumbria’s farming industry was devastated.

These are just three of many coincidences that are too coincidental to be a coincidence.

The media spun the myth that some Christians had said that Carlisle United were cursed. Goal famine was just one of their tongue in cheek headlines. Just another day at the Collesium for Nero’s off spring?

Try telling that to the Christians who became martyrs to the media myth and found themselves despised by some football supporters who could not see beyond the media’s manipulation.

Some people have a passion for their football team and their temperament and well being can be influenced by their teams performance. Any suggestion that their beloved team was cursed does not facilitate a feeling of warmth and benevolence towards those who might suggest such a curse was in play.
